Education is the process of giving the individual knowledge and skills, which are should apply in his daily life. The secondary education is considered as the most important stage of an individual’s learning. The major aim of secondary education is to enable the learners to aware recent knowledge, skill, develop positive outlook as well as scientific attitude and to inspire them for allround development of their personality with social, moral, cultural and spiritual values. The present look comprehensively covers the different aspects of knowledge and curriculum. The first unit deals with importance of knowledge and epistemological bases of curriculum development, Second unit deals with sociological bases with curriculum development. Third unit deals with process of curriculum development and relationship between various aspects of education and curriculum. Forth unit deals with vision and mission in relation to curriculum and reconstruction of society. Every attempt has been made to meet the diverse needs of the students and teacher educators.
