The premise of the present book on family-business is that, according to Chanakya, “Most challenges to the kingdom come from inside the kingdom then outside”. Therefore, one must fortify the kingdom from within. “The king must take care of proper education of self, supporters and successor for a long rule over the kingdom.” Our mission through this book, is to empower family businesses by building sustainable business models for them, thereby helping them attract authentic team members, customers and investors. Today’s education system moulds students from KG to PG into job seekers instead of job creators. Even children of family business owners who can create jobs are themselves seeking jobs. Being able to provide them with food, clothing, shelter, and self-respect at the same time = employment. Hence, the greatest loss to society is this potential job creator (family businessman) being converted into a job seeker.
